Paul A. Donohue Jr. (1922-2009)

Dr. Paul A. Donohue, Jr. 1922-2009 SPRINGFIELD - Dr. Paul A. Donohue, Jr., DMD died July 20, 2009 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Springfield to the late Dr. Paul and Catherine (Sayers) Donohue, he was a lifelong area resident. During WWII, he served in the Army and was in Mark Clark's 5th Army in North Africa, Sicily and Southern Italy. For his dedicated service, he was awarded the EAME Theatre Ribbon with 2 Battle Stars. Dr. Donohue was a beloved and popular local dentist who practiced family dentistry for 50 years. He graduated from American International College and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He was a life member of the Valley District Dental Society, The Massachusetts Dental Society and The American Dental Association. He was a proud chairman of the Holyoke St. Patrick's Day Committee and was active in the Lion's and Elk's Clubs. His hobbies were golf, reading and enjoying his residencies in Cape Cod and Florida. He was also an avid Red Sox fan. He leaves three children: Dr. Paul Donohue, III of Monson, Dr. Christopher Donohue of Wilbraham and Dr. Rebecca Koeniger-Donohue of Winchester; his wife of sixty years, Paula (Kenney) Donohue and six grandchildren: Brendan, Paul and Nicholas Koeniger and Troy, Parker and Regan Donohue.
