Two Valley District Dentists Recognized At the September executive/business meeting, held at the Log Cabin restaurant, Valley District president, Dr. Joseph Wegiel presented awards to two outstanding members for their service to the dental society. The awards were presented to Dr. William Bontempi and Dr. Stephen McKenna. With the awards came sincere thanks from the executive committee and all members of the Valley. Dr. William Bontempi Dr. Bontempi , immediate past president accept his award. Dr. Bontempi served as our president for the last two years with vigor and a passion to make our society better. He was responsible for the rewrite of our bylaws and worked diligently to bring so many issues to the table and resolving them . Legislators Night was one of the most succesfull ever during his term. For this and much more, the Valley District thanks you. Dr. Steven McKenna We all know this face. Dr. Stephen McKenna, our trustee for the last eight years , as he accepts his award. No job was too large or too small for Dr. Mckenna to give his 100 percent. He never refused when his help was needed. Many hours of personal time, many miles between home and MDS headquarters, much time away from the family and many issues were the theme of his years working for us. Having had knowledge of operations at the state level but always having the best interest of the Valley in mind, he was our voice and we thank him for it.
